A tragic accident claimed the life of a 25-year-old motorcyclist near the Anand Vihar bus depot in east Delhi on Monday. The victim, identified as Mayank Khurana, was struck by a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus at approximately 10:30 am, according to a senior police official.

The collision occurred on Swami Vivekanand Marg, close to the Telco T-point. Emergency services were alerted to the scene by a call to the Madhu Vihar police station, discovering a damaged motorcycle, a DTC bus, and the body of Khurana.

Preliminary investigations suggest the bus was being driven rashly, leading to Khurana's untimely death. Police have registered a case for rash driving and negligence under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. His body has been returned to the family after a post-mortem examination.
