Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana: A Step Toward Massive Job Creation

In a significant move to boost employment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana from the Red Fort. This scheme, now live, offers twofold benefits, targeting both employees and employers. Covering jobs created between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027, the initiative aims to foster job generation with a focus on the manufacturing sector, according to Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
With a proposed expenditure of nearly Rs 1 lakh crore, the scheme is designed to create over 3.5 crore jobs within two years. The scheme comprises two parts. Part A provides a one-time incentive of up to Rs 15,000, equivalent to the average one-month wage, for first-time employees with wages up to Rs 1 lakh. Part B offers employer support, granting up to Rs 3,000 monthly for each new employee, focusing especially on manufacturing, over four years for the sector and two for others.
Eligible establishments must hire additional employees consistently over six months to benefit. Exempted under the EPF & MP Act and other conditions apply, including using the UMANG App for administrative tasks. This large-scale initiative signifies a historic push towards a developed India, combining employability with dignity, as emphasized by PM Modi during his Independence Day speech.
