Mumbai is facing another bout of heavy rainfall, with 177 mm deluging the city in just 6-8 hours, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced. Amidst looming high tides, citizens are urged to stay vigilant.
Despite waterlogging in 14 spots, suburban trains showed only minor delays while metro services ran smoothly. Businesses instructed employees to head home early as a precaution against worsening weather.
Discussions with Karnataka on managing water discharge from the Allmatti dam are in progress, Fadnavis noted. Public transport strives to accommodate commuters while civic services tackle obstacles like fallen trees. One injury was reported due to rain-related incidents.
