Bollywood stars Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh have been named as the new brand ambassadors for the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), the entity responsible for public bus services in the state. Their appointment was announced during a formal ceremony attended by prominent state officials at the Mantralaya.
This strategic move aims to leverage the couple's star power to amplify MSRTC's initiatives related to road safety and social awareness over the coming five years. Contractors will benefit from the Deshmukhs' participation in public campaigns, with plans to incorporate them in messages focusing on safe travel and passenger engagement.
The MSRTC, which carries over 5.5 million passengers daily, seeks a rejuvenation of its public image by involving high-profile influencers. Following previous ambassadors like Makarand Anaspure and Vikram Gokhale, the Deshmukhs are expected to offer a fresh, dynamic presence to bolster the corporation's messaging efforts.
