A woman cloth trader in Thane district of Maharashtra has filed a complaint against three individuals for allegedly defrauding her of nearly Rs 45 lakh, according to local authorities.
The suspects reportedly built trust with the trader and acquired raw materials worth Rs 87,67,492 from her Kalyan-based company over several months.
Though an initial payment of Rs 42,72,834 was made, attempts to collect the remaining balance were met with evasive responses. Police have initiated an investigation under cheating and criminal breach of trust charges.
