Bikaner Range's Inspector General Omprakash Paswan revealed a breakthrough in the investigation of a weapon smuggling operation allegedly conducted via drones at the Khajuwala border, describing the case as initially 'blind' due to the complexity and lack of leads.

The case, which occurred in February 2026, saw new developments once authorities secured a production warrant for Sukhwinder alias Sonu, a prisoner serving time under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act since 2023.

According to Paswan, there is evidence to suggest that the case is linked to Pakistan, which adds a sensitive international dimension to the criminal investigation. Updates and further details are anticipated as the probe continues.
