Rakesh Kumar Sharma, who recently retired as the station manager of New Delhi Railway Station, has set an impressive record by recovering 1,963 lost valuables belonging to passengers over a decade of service. The items retrieved and returned by Sharma during his official tenure, estimated to be worth over Rs 5 crore, included a wide array of valuables such as mobile phones, laptops, foreign currency, cash, passports, essential documents, and jewelry. "What makes this achievement even more inspiring," stated Northern Railway, "is Sharma's continued commitment to public service post-retirement, personally assisting in additional cases, bringing the total to 1,975."
