A tragic stabbing outside Santa Ana High in Southern California resulted in one student dead and two injured. Authorities are searching for suspects as the community copes with fear and uncertainty. Crisis counselors will be available, and after-school activities were suspended.

In a shocking incident outside a Southern California high school, one student was killed and two others were injured in a stabbing attack, authorities reported. The Santa Ana High School students were hospitalized, with one succumbing to injuries and two remaining in stable condition, said Officer Natalie Garcia, a city police spokesperson.
The violent episode occurred Wednesday afternoon as students wrapped up their school day, confirmed district spokesperson Fermin Leal. The confrontation involved both school attendees and individuals unaffiliated with the institution, sparking a search for at least two suspects. Their connections to the school and their motives remain unclear at this stage, according to Garcia.
In response to the tragedy, all after-school programs and sports activities were canceled. School officials have promised to provide crisis counseling to students on Thursday. Santa Ana, home to roughly 300,000 residents, is located about 30 miles southeast of Los Angeles, with the high school serving approximately 3,000 students.
