Karnataka's Medical Education Minister, Sharan Prakash Patil, issued a stern warning on Tuesday to medical aspirants and their parents, urging them to avoid fraudulent middlemen making false promises of securing medical seats.
Minister Patil emphasized that legal measures will be strictly enforced against those who deceive students or parents, capitalizing on their aspirations to become doctors. He noted that many claim to have 'contacts' or 'influence' in educational institutions, leading to scams where families are left deceived and seatless.
With 1,47,782 candidates registered for the NEET in Karnataka, and only a portion qualifying, the pressure to secure a seat is immense. Patil urged students and parents to follow the official seat allotment process through the Karnataka Examinations Authority.
