The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest outside the National Testing Agency (NTA) headquarters on Saturday, demanding its dissolution and the resignation of the Union Education Minister over alleged NEET examination irregularities.
The protest, led by NSUI national president Vinod Jakhar under the banner of 'NTA Halla Bol,' accused the NTA and the Centre of failing to ensure a transparent exam process, citing suicides, paper leaks, and administrative lapses. Jakhar expressed concern over the stress and uncertainty faced by students preparing for competitive exams.
The NSUI called for a thorough investigation into the alleged NEET scam and warned of nationwide protests if their demands, including protecting students' interests and restoring the examination system's credibility, are not met.
