Tragic Elopement: Couple Found Hanging in Mango Orchard

Tragedy struck in Barabanki district, Uttar Pradesh, as the bodies of a woman and her boyfriend were discovered hanging from a tree, after allegedly eloping from her wedding venue. This shocking incident unfolded just two days after the duo disappeared, casting a pall over the community.

Authorities recovered a three-page suicide note and the boyfriend's motorcycle near the scene in a mango orchard on the outskirts of Lalpur village. The couple, identified as Shilpa Yadav, 22, and Bhanu Pratap Singh, 28, apparently chose to take their lives due to their forbidden love, as expressed in the note.

Investigations are ongoing, with preliminary findings pointing to a suicide connected to their romantic involvement. The woman's family had substituted a niece to complete the wedding in the face of societal pressure, adding another layer to this heartrending tale.
