Tragedy in Dhaka: Military Jet Crash on School Campus

A catastrophic incident unfolded in Dhaka, Bangladesh, as a military jet crashed into the Milestone School and College campus, resulting in at least 25 fatalities. This tragic event marks the deadliest plane crash in the city in recent history, drawing widespread condolences and prompting a national day of mourning.

The F-7 BGI jet, originating from Bangladesh Air Force Base A K Khandaker, experienced technical difficulties shortly after takeoff. In an effort to avoid densely populated regions, the pilot, who was among the deceased, steered the aircraft away but unfortunately it struck a two-story building within the school premises, igniting a fire.

Among the injured are 171 individuals, the majority of whom are students. Bangladesh's interim leader Muhammad Yunus has called for an investigation into the incident, while leaders from around the world, including India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have offered their support.
