In Odisha's Berhampur, the family of late social activist Duryodhan Nayak has donated his body to MKCG Medical College and Hospital. The 80-year-old passed away due to age-related ailments on Monday evening. This act of generosity marks the college's ninth body donation in seven months.
Nayak's son, Pratap, along with his grandson Prasad, handed over the body for academic and research purposes, supporting medical education. Professor Sagar Prusty from the Anatomy Department highlighted the body's importance for students.
This donation comes just days after another body was donated by the sons of retired teacher Prafulla Kumar Mohapatra, showcasing growing community support for medical research and learning.
