Project Malar is revolutionizing women's empowerment in Chennai and Chengalpattu, thanks to an initiative by Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India (RNTBCI). By equipping 20 carefully selected women with electric auto-rickshaws, the project promotes independence and financial freedom while reducing urban pollution.

Women undergo comprehensive training covering driving safety, financial literacy, customer service, and more, preparing them for entrepreneurial success. Project Malar aligns with RNTBCI's goal of cleaner urban mobility by supporting the use of electric vehicles.

Participants receive mentorship and financial support for 18 months, encouraging savings and self-sufficiency. This initiative, which Debashis Neogi, Managing Director at RNTBCI, says aligns with the company's corporate responsibility goals, showcases the transformative potential of inclusive, sustainable development.
