The 15th Hockey India Junior Men's National Championship's Day 5 was packed with thrilling encounters as Division 'B' saw Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Delhi emerge victorious. Division 'A' witnessed commanding wins from Karnataka, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab, with many captains turning in match-winning performances.
Chandigarh triumphed over Himachal 5-3, thanks to Gurjeet Singh's four-goal showcase. Jammu & Kashmir narrowly edged out Arunachal 5-4 with all goals courtesy of captain Rajveer Singh. Delhi had a smoother ride against Uttarakhand, securing a 3-0 victory, led by Bhanu and Yuvraj Singh's scoring prowess.
In Division 'A', Hockey Karnataka overwhelmed Andhra Pradesh 10-1, with multiple players contributing. Haryana delivered a solid 3-0 performance against Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. Uttar Pradesh decimated Maharashtra 9-2, showcasing a balanced team effort. The day concluded with Punjab overpowering Tamil Nadu 8-4, demonstrating a powerful final quarter.
