An Assamese-language film, 'Rador Pakhi', directed by filmmaker Bobby Sarma Baruah, is marking its international debut at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne in 2025. Titled 'Morning Sunshine' in translation, the narrative explores the resilience and dreams of a young woman, Jyoti, played by Sulakhyana Baruah.

The film is inspired by the real-life story of Sarmistha Pritam, named Jyoti in the film, battling spinal muscular atrophy to realize her literary aspirations. 'Rador Pakhi' has already made its mark by premiering at the 55th International Film Festival of Goa in the Indian Panorama section.

Bobby Sarma Baruah, who also scripted and co-produced the film alongside Sulakhyana Baruah and Basanta Kumar Baruah, previously directed award-winning films like 'Mishing' and 'Sikaisal', adding to her repertoire of notable works in the Assamese cinema landscape.
