Hyderabad and Kamareddy district in Telangana witnessed tragic electrocution incidents during Ganesh festival activities, resulting in four deaths and two injuries within 24 hours. Police reported the incidents as occurring during the transport of idols and setting up of pandals.

Two individuals died, and one was injured when a Ganesh idol on a vehicle contacted high-tension wires in Bandlaguda. Another victim, injured while setting up a pandal in Amberpet, succumbed to his injuries after receiving an electric shock.

In Kamareddy, a 19-year-old died while transporting a Ganesh idol as it contacted overhead wires. Officials, led by Telangana's Deputy Chief Minister, convened to assess safety risks and implement preventive measures, including underground cable installation.
