A Shiv Sena parliamentary delegation visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday to express gratitude for his role in securing UNESCO recognition for Chhatrapati Shivaji's military legacy.
Leading the delegation, parliamentary party leader Shrikant Shinde presented Modi with a traditional Maratha turban and a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, acknowledging the cultural significance of this achievement.
Last month, UNESCO inscribed the Maratha Military Landscapes—a collection of 12 forts of Chhatrapati Shivaji—on the World Heritage list, a development hailed as a national pride booster by Shinde.
