Blockbuster 'Coolie': Rajinikanth's Cinematic Triumph

'Coolie', the latest blockbuster featuring Rajinikanth, has made a stunning box office debut, raking in Rs 216 crore domestically. Directed by the renowned Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film hit theaters globally on August 14, coinciding with the release of 'War 2', featuring Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan.

This cinematic spectacle became the first Tamil film to achieve a Rs 150 crore worldwide gross on its opening day, with a total box office collection surpassing Rs 400 crore. The narrative follows Rajinikanth as a coolie taking on a corrupt syndicate that mistreats his former coworkers in a port town.

The ensemble cast includes luminaries like Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, and Sathyaraj, with Nagarjuna playing the antagonist and a special appearance by Aamir Khan. 'Coolie' is Rajinikanth's 171st lead film and marks his first collaboration with Kanagaraj, distributed by Pen Studios and produced by Sun Pictures.
