Contemporary artist Kulpreet Singh has been honored with the prestigious Hayward Gallery/Kochi-Muziris Biennale Award, offering a platform for his first institutional solo exhibition in the UK.
Opening on June 16 at Hayward Gallery HENI Project Space and running until August 2, Singh's project, 'Indelible Black Marks', will showcase the interconnectedness of climate change and the agrarian crisis.
Through a blend of film installations and large abstract paintings, Singh offers insights into the environmental impact of agricultural practices like stubble burning, rooted in his own farming experiences in Punjab.
