In a show of solidarity, political leaders in India, including DMK leader TKS Elangovan and Chief Ministers MK Stalin of Tamil Nadu and Revanth Reddy of Telangana, have expressed firm support for the Indian Armed Forces following the success of Operation Sindoor. The operation targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.
Elangovan, representing DMK, praised any Union Government measures aimed at curbing terrorism, underlining the stance of a civilised society against terror. He voiced open support for the operation, stating, 'Terrorism has to be stopped...if this action is against terrorists, we welcome it.'
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin reaffirmed his state's support for the Army, declaring unwavering unity in the fight against terrorism. In a similar vein, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy expressed pride in the strikes against terror facilities, viewing them as opportunities for national unity.
In Jammu and Kashmir, CM Omar Abdullah acknowledged the impact of the Pahalgam attack, a tragedy that claimed 26 lives. He noted that India's response, targeting entrenched terror zones, aligns with promises made by the Central government post-attack. Operation Sindoor's strikes, carried out in less than a day, mark a significant stand against terror.
