Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a critical security review meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday, bringing together the Lieutenant Governors and Chief Ministers of border states neighboring Pakistan and Nepal. The meeting, conducted via video conferencing, included top officials from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttar Pradesh, and other key states.
Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, Shah highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's firm commitment to retaliating against terrorism, praising the success of Operation Sindoor. Describing it as a decisive response from India, Shah lauded the armed forces and Modi's government for their unwavering stance on national security.
Shah emphasized that Operation Sindoor sends a global message of India's zero tolerance for terrorism, with coordinated attacks on terrorist camps showcasing exceptional military prowess. He urged states to implement preparatory measures, ensure uninterrupted critical services, and engage public participation against anti-national activities.
