In response to Operation Sindoor by the Indian Armed Forces, Uttarakhand Police has ramped up security measures across the state to ensure public safety. Sensitive areas, including religious sites and interstate borders, are under vigilant monitoring, and a statewide verification campaign is in progress to maintain order.

Director General of Police Deepam Seth has deployed teams from ATS Guldar and Central Paramilitary Forces to strategic locations alongside State Police, PAC, and SDRF for the ongoing Chardham Yatra. Enhanced vigilance is mandated along the Indo-Nepal border, and joint patrols with SSB are underway. Social media is being closely watched, and the public is advised to be cautious with online activities, with the promise of strict action against misinformation.

A Civil Defence Mock Drill was conducted under the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs' guidelines in Dehradun, monitored from the State and District Emergency Operations Centre. Officials, including Secretary Home Shailesh Bagauli and DGP Deepam Seth, ensured active oversight. Secretary Shailesh Bagauli gathered comprehensive information on emergency readiness, emphasizing clear role definitions within the Incident Response System.
