Rajasthan Schools Close After Strikes: Security Over Education

In a swift response to missile strikes by India on terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, authorities have declared an extended holiday for schools across Rajasthan's border districts. This precautionary measure affects government and private educational institutions in regions like Barmer, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, and Jaisalmer.

The District Collectors, leveraging powers under the Disaster Management Act of 2005, emphasized the focus on maintaining student safety amid heightened national security concerns. In Barmer, officials have mandated that all heads of institutions comply with these orders, warning of strict actions if disregarded.

These school closures follow India's targeted strikes under Operation Sindoor, which aimed to dismantle terror infrastructural facilities in the region. While schools remain shut, the Indian Army continues to vigilantly monitor the ceasefire along the borders, ensuring safety and stability in the aftermath of the operation.
