Congress MP Shashi Tharoor lauded India's precision and strategic restraint during Operation Sindoor, describing it as a "well-calibrated and effectively executed" response to cross-border terrorism. Speaking to ANI, Tharoor emphasized India's focus on avoiding civilian harm while targeting UN-designated terrorist bases in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam attack.
"The operation was well-calculated, from its naming to its execution. It sent a message that such attacks cannot go unanswered," Tharoor told ANI. He noted the operation specifically targeted bases belonging to proscribed groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, underscoring India's commitment to lawful action while deterring further conflict.
Tharoor further highlighted India's efforts to avoid escalation by conducting the strikes at night, minimizing collateral damage. He urged Pakistan to refrain from escalating tensions and reiterated India's stance as a responsible global player. "Our forces are vigilant, prepared to respond to any aggression," Tharoor asserted.
