In a tragic incident on Thursday, a road accident in Aligarh resulted in the deaths of three policemen and an accused. The police vehicle carrying them collided with a canter near the Lodha police station area.
The vehicle was en route from Firozabad to Bulandshahr, with accused Gulshan being transported by police. Two officers injured in the crash were hospitalized. Circle Officer Sanjeev Kumar Tomar indicated the accident might have been caused by the driver dozing off.
Reacting to this tragedy, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended condolences to the families of the deceased and urged authorities to expedite relief efforts. This follows another recent accident in Shahjahanpur that claimed six lives.
