Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has urged citizens to unite and support the Indian Army. Stalin highlighted the need for collective action against Pakistan's terrorism promotion and announced a rally on May 10, from the Director General of Police office to the state's War Memorial.

"Pakistan is actively promoting terrorism and committing atrocities within India. It is pivotal for us to rally behind our Indian Army," Stalin asserted on social media platform X. He has called upon ex-servicemen, ministers, public, and students to join the rally.

The rally, slated for 5 pm, will demonstrate unity and determination, especially in light of Operation Sindoor where the Indian Army targeted terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Indian Army, on May 8-9, successfully combated drone attacks and ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the border.

The Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADG PI) reported these drone attacks were "effectively neutralised" under Operation Sindoor. The Indian Army secured the border by shooting down over 50 Pakistani drones in a counter-drone operation.

This operation followed Pakistan's failed attempts to deploy swarm drones into Indian territory. The Indian Army swiftly neutralised the threats using advanced air defence systems and weapons, successfully thwarting potential civilian-targeted attacks. No casualties have been reported thus far.
