Tragic Assault and Robbery on Pune-Solapur Highway

An early morning drive on the Pune-Solapur highway turned into a nightmare when a minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted along with a robbery incident, police reported.

The incident occurred near Bhigwan where seven family members traveling from Pune to Solapur sat idly during a roadside tea break, unaware of the impending danger.

According to Ganesh Biradar, Additional Superintendent of Police, armed assailants targeted the travelers, robbing a woman of her gold jewelry and reportedly assaulting a minor. Investigations are ongoing under serious criminal charges, while Superintendent Sandeep Singh Gill mobilizes multiple police units to track down the culprits.
