Empowering Rural Growth: Nabard's Support for FPOs and Infrastructure
Nabard has facilitated the formation of over 6,215 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and supports them through capacity building, credit facilitation, and market linkages. In collaboration with SFAC and ONDC, it promotes FPO products across 24 states. Nabard also enhances rural infrastructure funding, aiding economic growth in rural areas.

In a progressive move, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has so far facilitated the establishment of 6,215 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) under various schemes, according to a statement made in Parliament on Monday.
The comprehensive support extended to these FPOs includes formation assistance, capacity building initiatives, credit facilitation, and market linkages to boost economic capacity building, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed the Lok Sabha.
Nabard's partnership with the Small Farmers' Agri-Business Consortium (SFAC) and the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) has led to FPO Melas across 24 States and Union Territories, showcasing their products for enhanced marketing and branding.
