Cloudburst Chaos in Uttarakhand: Urgent Rescue Efforts Underway

BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has voiced profound concern over the recent cloudburst and mudslide in Uttarakhand, highlighting the nationwide unease and fear gripping the hill residents. Speaking to the press, Ranaut conveyed, 'This incident has deeply affected everyone. We pray for an improvement in the situation.'
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met with victims of the disaster at Dharali in the Uttarkashi district. Dhami emphasized ongoing efforts to airlift residents to safety, despite challenging weather conditions. Mahendra Chauhan, affected by the cloudburst, expressed distress over missing family members.
Earlier, CM Dhami, in coordination with state agencies, held a disaster management meeting at the State Emergency Operations Centre to review relief efforts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured Dhami of central government support. Dhami has also conducted aerial surveys to assess damage and ongoing rescue work, involving multiple rescue agencies, including the Indian Army and NDRF.
