Shiv Sena Pledges Unwavering Support to NDA Ahead of Vice Presidential Poll

In a significant political move, Shiv Sena Chief and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced the party's unconditional support for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the upcoming Vice Presidential election. While visiting New Delhi, Shinde reaffirmed Shiv Sena's status as one of the NDA's oldest allies.
During a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accompanied by Shiv Sena MPs, Shinde lauded Shah's historic tenure, noting his unprecedented 2,258-day term as Home Minister. Shinde said, "Amit Shah ji has set a new benchmark for leadership, achieving milestones like the abrogation of Article 370 and combating terrorism and Naxalism effectively."
In light of the enduring 25-year partnership with the BJP, Shinde also discussed the upcoming local self-government elections, aligning with the Mahayuti coalition to replicate past electoral successes. Addressing other issues, Shinde confirmed plans to seek a Supreme Court review regarding the elephant Madhuri, highlighting transparency in parliamentary operations while subtly criticizing opposition secrecy.
