In a significant move to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday, Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel inaugurated a blood donation camp in Gandhinagar on Tuesday. This is part of a broader initiative by the Bharatiya Janata Party to organize blood donation camps nationwide during the two-week 'Sewa Pakhwada' celebration.

State Health Minister Patel announced that over 1,27,000 state government employees registered to participate in the donation drive, noting the special significance of the event coinciding with PM Modi's birthday on September 17. This collective effort sees state employees donating blood as part of the campaign.

State Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi commended the drive's success by highlighting that 7,000 donations were made within the first hour. He emphasized the importance of the collected blood for aiding communities in Gujarat and neighboring regions. Additional 'Sewa Pakhwada' activities include exhibitions, dialogues, and workshops celebrating PM Modi's contributions and vision for India.
