Delhi Police have reported that medical examinations of the officials suspended over a tragic PCR van accident on Thana Mandir Marg revealed no traces of liquor. DCP Devesh Kumar Mahla confirmed that all suspended personnel tested negative for alcohol.
In addressing the consequences faced by the involved individuals, Mahla highlighted that the staff connected to the incident have been suspended, and action will be taken against the driver as legal proceedings continue. He mentioned that severe repercussions would follow if any links to alcohol consumption were proven.
Investigations are underway into whether the driver mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake, according to Mahla. However, the victim's family claims the PCR van occupants were intoxicated, alleging bottles of liquor were present. Additional DCP Hukma Ram assured legal action and compensation for the deceased's family.
