Senior BJP leader Deepak Prakash has voiced serious allegations regarding the death of socio-political worker Surya Hansda, claiming that it was not a legitimate encounter but an orchestrated murder by the state police.

According to Prakash, the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes has recommended a CBI probe into the death of Hansda, who was involved in various political activities and faced multiple criminal charges. The Rajya Sabha MP emphasized that the BJP would persist with its protest both within and outside the assembly until justice prevails.

Prakash criticized the existing CID investigation as a mere cover-up, demanding a more transparent CBI inquiry and protection for Hansda's family. Allegations have surfaced that Hansda's death involved the stone mafia, further complicating the narrative around what the police report as an exchange of gunfire during an encounter.
