HLL Lifecare Ltd, a government enterprise under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has introduced 'Ekatva,' a ground-breaking programme aimed at empowering transgender individuals. This initiative is set to revolutionize the lives of transgender communities through precise skill development and comprehensive mental wellness strategies.
The programme, backed by HLL Management Academy in collaboration with the Nadi Foundation, aspires to create viable opportunities for employment and psychological health for transgender individuals throughout Kerala. The initiative reflects HLL's dedication to fostering social advancement and ensuring inclusivity for marginalized communities.
Held at the Kappiness Mental Health Café in Thiruvananthapuram, the programme's inaugural session featured an orientation led by Project Coordinator Shakya S Priyamvada. The event included insights on vocational training and livelihood creation, followed by an engaging discussion with prospective beneficiaries, underlining the significance of such supportive interventions.
