Tata Capital Ltd's Initial Public Offering (IPO) garnered a 20% subscription rate on its opening day of bids. The IPO saw bids for 6,83,01,122 shares against the 33,34,36,996 on offer, based on NSE data as of 1151 hours.

Qualified Institutional Buyers' (QIB) quota was subscribed to 29%, Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) drew 19%, and non-institutional investors got a 12% subscription rate. On Friday, Tata Capital raised Rs 4,642 crore from 68 institutional investors globally and domestically, with a demanding anchor book almost five times the allocated shares.

At a price range of Rs 310-326 per share, the company aims to conclude its Rs 15,512 crore public offer by October 8, totaling 47.58 crore shares. Proceeds will bolster the Tier-1 capital base for future needs, including lending, marking Tata Group's second recent public listing post-Tata Technologies in November 2023.
