Zelenskiy Alerts: Daylight Drone Onslaught Threatens Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy issued a stark warning about potential Russian drone attacks throughout Wednesday, cautioning that over a hundred drones might be operating in Ukraine's airspace. This tactical shift by Moscow marks a move towards more brazen daylight operations targeting Ukraine's railway and civilian infrastructure.

Historically, Russia's major drone and missile strikes occurred predominantly at night. However, in recent weeks, hundreds of weapons have been launched during daylight, significantly disrupting civilian life. On March 24, a strike set a record for the number of weapons deployed during the day.

Zelenskiy urged resilience and global support for Ukraine, as the air force reported 139 drone attacks overnight, of which 111 were neutralized. Despite Moscow's denial of targeting civilians, such assaults have claimed thousands of lives. Meanwhile, Ukraine has escalated long-range attacks on Russia's energy industry, albeit on a smaller scale.
