In an alarming incident at the Govind Ballabh Pant (GBP) hospital, a prominent healthcare center in Tripura, a doctor was assaulted by two patient relatives on Sunday.
Dr Litan Das suffered multiple injuries but is reported to be out of danger. The assailants, identified as the sons of patient Bimal Sarkar, fled the scene post-attack, prompting a police search.
Despite police raids, the attackers remain at large. This incident raises concerns about the safety of medical professionals, as highlighted by the hospital's Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr Kanak Chowdhury.
