The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's Monsoon-Diseases report highlighted this uptick, while also noting a decline in malaria, chikungunya, and other waterborne diseases.
Amid the festival season, the BMC implemented extensive health awareness campaigns, inspecting over a million homes and collecting thousands of blood samples to combat vector-borne diseases.
