China has intensified its call for Pakistan to ramp up diplomatic efforts in mediating talks between Iran and the United States, particularly focusing on the Strait of Hormuz's stability. This appeal was communicated by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during a phone discussion with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, as reported by Xinhua News Agency.

In the conversation, Dar discussed Pakistan's recent diplomatic endeavors aimed at fostering dialogue between Tehran and Washington, expressing gratitude for China's support. Wang Yi reiterated China's position, applauding Pakistan's role in facilitating US-Iran discussions and extending the temporary ceasefire, according to Xinhua.

While China supports Pakistan's role, skepticism emerges from the US. Senator Lindsey Graham distrusts Pakistan's neutrality following reports of Iranian aircraft on Pakistani soil. This skepticism came to light during a Senate committee testimony where Pakistani neutrality in mediation efforts was questioned.
