In a significant breakthrough, the Punjab Police announced on Wednesday that they have dismantled a cross-border narcotics network with the arrest of three individuals in two separate operations.

Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav reported that officers recovered 5.4 kg of heroin, two Chinese-made pistols, and other related items during these operations. The suspects, identified as Sandeep Singh, Judge Singh, and Babbu Singh, hailed from Ferozepur.

Preliminary investigations suggested that the consignments were delivered using drones operated by smugglers from across the border in Pakistan. Police are intensifying their inquiry to fully unravel the network's breadth and connections.
