The presiding judge, Rajesh Kumar, indicated the crime was aggravated by the teacher's guardianship role at school, as he was convicted under the IPC and POCSO Act. The prosecution called for a harsh penalty, citing the noble profession of teaching that the convict disgraced.
The judgement highlighted the trauma inflicted on the victim was not just physical but deep psychological. The court underscored the necessity of a stringent sentence to protect children and serve justice, denying the convict any leniency due to the severe nature of his actions.
