EU Sanctions Relief: Macron's Proposal for Syria

European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas expressed her approval on Thursday regarding French President Emmanuel Macron's proposal for sanctions relief on Syria.

President Macron, on Wednesday, announced his intention to advocate for the lifting of sanctions on Syria when they are due for renewal in June.

Kallas, speaking to reporters in Warsaw, mentioned that ongoing discussions about the sanctions relief are underway, and she appreciated President Macron's support for easing sanctions.
