The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajanlal Sharma, has taken decisive action amid rising tensions on the Indo-Pak border. On Thursday, he sanctioned the immediate release of Rs 5 crore for each of the border districts, namely Barmer, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, and Sriganganagar.
This financial boost comes after discussions with district collectors and superintendents of police, highlighting the need for heightened vigilance following Indian armed forces' precision strikes in Pakistan and PoK. These strikes were a direct retaliation for a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement, Sharma emphasized the importance of operational readiness by canceling all leave for state government employees. This move aims to strengthen border security and maintain peace in the region.
