In a tense police operation on Friday, a suspect engaged in cow slaughter was injured and apprehended after a dramatic encounter in Pavli Khas village. The police recovered a substantial amount of beef and a makeshift firearm during the raid.

City Superintendent of Police Ayush Vikram Singh reported that officers had been tipped off about illegal activities at the residence of a man named Mohsin. When police attempted to arrest Mohsin and his accomplice, Shahid, an altercation ensued, leading to gunfire. Mohsin was shot in the leg and detained, whereas Shahid escaped.

A veterinary officer was present to ensure the proper collection of evidence, and the meat was disposed of according to legal requirements. Mohsin's criminal history includes previous charges under the Uttar Pradesh Cow Slaughter Act, and new charges have been filed against both suspects.
