A Danish citizen has been apprehended in connection with espionage activities for Iran, targeting Jewish sites and individuals in Berlin, German prosecutors revealed on Tuesday.
Prosecutors claim Ali S, as he is known under German privacy law, conducted surveillance on multiple properties in June 2025, preparing for possible terrorist endeavors. He is reportedly linked with Iran's intelligence services, receiving directives from the Quds Force, linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guards, early this year.
The arrest followed collaborative efforts between German authorities and Danish law enforcement in Aarhus. Ali S awaits a hearing before Germany's Federal Court of Justice. The Iranian embassy has not provided any comments regarding the arrest.
