Following the tragic death of 13-year-old Tamanna Khatun during a bomb blast at the Kaliganj assembly bypoll, her mother is taking legal action to ensure justice is served. Sabina Begum has expressed dissatisfaction with the current police investigation, consulting senior advocate Bikash Bhattacharya for guidance.

Sabina Begum, who named 24 suspects in the FIR but saw only nine arrested, met with Bhattacharya at the Calcutta High Court, seeking legal avenues to address her grievances regarding the probe's progress. She is resolute in her pursuit of justice for her daughter.

The incident occurred in Molandi village, with crude bombs allegedly hurled from a Trinamool Congress rally. Bhattacharya, also a CPI(M) MP, assured Begum of backing her legal quest, urging her not to be intimidated, but to continue fighting for her daughter's justice.
