In a fortunate escape, Jhabua district collector Neha Meena was unharmed after a speeding dumper truck collided with her car near her official residence on Monday. The incident took place around 10.30 am as Meena was heading to work.
The scene of the incident is close to the district magistrate's residence on the busy Indore-Ahmedabad Highway. Despite the damage to her vehicle, Meena and her staff remained unharmed, owing to quick assistance from her team who ensured her safe arrival at the office.
Sub-divisional officer of police, Roop Rekha Yadav, confirmed that authorities have seized the offending dumper and taken its driver, Ramsingh, into custody. A case has been registered at the Jhabua police station as thorough investigations continue.
