Karnataka BJP President B Y Vijayendra, on Monday, leveled serious allegations against the Congress government led by Siddaramaiah, accusing them of diverting funds earmarked for marginalised communities. Addressing the media, Vijayendra claimed that during its tenure, the Congress has misused grants dedicated to uplifting oppressed sections.

The alleged diversion includes funding for welfare schemes such as 'Gruha Jyoti,' offering 200 units of free electricity, and 'Gruha Lakshmi,' providing Rs 2,000 monthly to women heads of families. Schemes like 'Anna Bhagya' and 'Yuva Nidhi' also reportedly received funding at the cost of actual beneficiaries. 'Shakti', another initiative, offers free bus travel for women across Karnataka.

Vijayendra criticized Congress for exploiting marginalised communities as a vote bank. In response, the BJP promises to fight these injustices and maintain its advocacy for social justice. They plan to challenge the alleged fund diversion in the legislature and hold the government responsible for denying justice to disadvantaged groups.
