A tragic accident unfolded early Tuesday morning in Deoghar, as a bus transporting Kanwariyas collided with a vehicle carrying gas cylinders.
The collision occurred near Jamuniya forest, under the jurisdiction of Mohanpur police station, around 4.30 am, resulting in at least five deaths and numerous injuries, as confirmed by Inspector General Shailendra Kumar Sinha.
The district administration remains on high alert, with Traffic deputy SP Laxman Prasad indicating that the death toll has reached nine, as injured individuals are rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
